Binondo is the oldest Chinatown in the world and is a famous food trip place in Manila where you can taste different varieties of Chinese foods.

Ways how to get there:

  • Ride any jeep that has sign of Sta. Cruz, SM Manila, City Hall, Divisoria or Pier.
  • Ride the LRT 1 and go down at the stations Carriedo (Binondo) and Central Station (Intramuros).
  • Ride the LRT 2 go down at Recto station then take a jeepney going to Sta. Cruz or Divisoria.
  • Ride buses or FX that has a sign of Lawton.

Tips:

  1. The best time to go there is during the weekdays except Mondays because most of the museum are closed. Avoid going there around the BER months because traffic.
  2. Go in groups especially if you plan to have a food trip in Binondo so you can split the cost and taste most of the foods.
  3. If you are bringing your car, make sure you come early so you can find a good place to park.

Reminders:

  1. Bring extra cloths, drinking bottle and wear rubber shoes.
  2. Prepare to walk around, Binondo and Intramuros is best experience while walking.
  3. Be open to try foods that are unusual to you and learn the history and story of the places you will be visiting.
  4. Be mindful of your belongings.
